Problem opening IE

When I click on my IE shortcut on the desktop, it goes to IE but shows two items: Gmail Notifier and Web Publishing Wizard Shortcut. ... Internet Properties - Home Page shows http://www.cox.net/wwwredir/traffic.cop?community=

Is there more to the home page link? Something following the "...community="?

IE 7 supports more than one home page and will open all of them at startup. Each home page will appear in its own tab. Are there multiple tabs at the top of the page?

The home page link ends after "community=". ... The tabs include (besides General) Security, Privacy, Content, Connections, Programs and Advanced.

Multiple home pages will cause IE to open multiple tabs when IE first opens. These tabs are not the tabs shown for Internet Options.

It sounds to me like you have installed both the Gmail Notifier and the Microsoft Web Publishing Wizard and these have installed an icon on the Google Toolbar. If so, this is not a problem.

Still, when I click on IE, it goes to icons for those 2 items -- not to IE. I cannot open Internet Explorer.
