The Tech Talk Forum provides a place to ask questions about software, hardware, or SIGs (Special Interest Groups). Volunteers from the club monitor the forum and answer questions.
To post questions on the forum, you need to join Grand Computers Club and to register with the forum.
To join Grand Computers, click on and complete “Member Application” at the website www.grandcomputers.org. Membership is not activated until dues are paid online using PayPal or to the monitor in the open-use room.
To register for Tech Talk Forum click on “Register” on the forum home page. This link is at the upper right corner of the forum home page. Participants must accept the forum rules to register. This forum is administered only by club members--personal information is NOT disclosed to anyone outside the club.
- User name: Please use your full name so other club members will know who is posting questions and answers. (You can use upper and lower case to create your user name but all lower case to log in.)
- Password: This can be your membership password or a new password. Be sure to record this password because the forum administrators cannot read it. Contact a forum administrator to reset a password.
- Email address: This email address should match the email address stored in your membership record.
- Time zone: Set to Mountain Standard Time (GMT -7 hours) for Arizona. This can be changed to another time zone when traveling.
When a forum administrator has verified your membership, you will receive an email notification that your Tech Talk account has been activated and that questions may be posted to the forum.
There are four major categories for questions as well as subcategories, particularly for software. Questions and answers are posted at the lowest level of subcategory.
Log in to post a question or answer. Subscribe to posted questions, your own or others of interest, to be informed when someone posts an answer.
